AFCAD hold short nodes

Recommended Posts

How do I remove the hold short lines which are visible in the sim? I'm designing a small country airport which has a grass taxiway. I understand that I must have a hold short node in order for the AI aircraft to use the runway. I want to keep the hold short node but remove the yellow lines which appear on the ground in the sim. Thanks Steve

Have you looked at any of the default grass strips to see what might be included. Looking at the BGLComp_SDK doesn't reveal any control over the lines for holdshorts.I assume you set the taxiway type to grass. Did you also select no lines/lights for the taxiway segments. W. Sieffert

Howdy:I have been able to remove the hold-short lines by setting the two connecting taxiway widths to 1m or even 0m. On a grass field you can use the apron feature to make everything grass and you don't need taxiway ground markings anyway, as far as I know.Cheers, Holger

Hi HolgerThanks for your help. I'll give it a go reducing the width of the taxiway. I've already been able to get rid of the lights, side lines etc an use the apron feature to avoid any texture for the taxiwaqy.ThanksSteve
