Ground Scenery

Featured Replies

When in doubt...I am in the middle of building a small airfield. It is a grass glider strip with various hangers etc. I have initially used Airport 2.6 to create the field and used the tools that has to flatten things etc. As for the buildings I want to create those in Gmax. Although my initial reaction to the field was good, I now feel that the things like the Apron (which is actually very uneven) and the taxiway are to sharp. The polygons have a distinct edge, I want to make them blend in more with the surrounding field as they do in real life. Is there a way of doing this with any of the tools available? I would like to achieve the same results as Maskrider has with his CFS2 scenery.By the way I am no expert at this, so unless there is a complete idiots guide, my eyes will glaze over:-)

And if they really need to blend I would advice Ground2k4, as only mesh polygons (VTP) don't have the sharp edges.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
