October 11, 200421 yr does anyone know where i can find sriel satellite images of all the capital cities in the world including smaller countries?
October 15, 200421 yr Author Hello Aviban,Do you really mean that you are looking for satellite images? Generally, these are low-resolution photos, many of them in false color or infra-red, and not very useful for our needs (except in some cases of redrawing terrain elements.) Usually, they are hazy (since most of the atmosphere is between the camera and the earth) and clouds obscure large parts of the image. Also, they usually need to be re-projected to the Microsoft standard. And, they are often very large files and take forever to download if you do not have a fast internet connection. In the meantime, you maight try this link: http://glcf.umiacs.umd.edu/index.shtmlThere are others; it depends on what you want to do with the images. Perhaps you could let us know what kind of scenery you wish to make, so that we could better guide you.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
