November 24, 200421 yr I made a few searches, but didn't find what I was looking for.Can someone point me to a thread or two about adjusting default runway elevations? Many are too low, in huge trenches. Especially in hilly or mountainous areas.
November 24, 200421 yr Commercial Member This would require two steps I think. One is to change the altitude of the actual runway, this can be changed with AFCAD for example. The second would be to make a new flatten for the mesh scenery, so that it matches you new altitude as well. This can for example be done with SBuilder or Ground2k4.But are you sure the default airport are really wrong? For most areas I have seen the altitudes match the airport charts. November 26, 200421 yr Thanks Arno.I haven't looked up any data for matching, but you can see in the example attached (98952.jpg) that SLAP in Bolivia is surrounded on all four sides with a sheer drop of about 200 feet or so.I removed any mesh that might have overlapped into this area, and it didn't change anything.
