March 9, 200521 yr I am looking at is ktus_158462.zip by Grainger, needs rnwy12 and jetways to work....you also have a ktus.zip by Jeffreys, question: how does one decide which to use, or can you put both on??.........also some of the scenery downloads need a Nova, Nova gold, Lago something, and some trees, etc. I am not real familiar with these , so that is why I was asking if there is a forum on proper ways to download add-on scenery............PS, I did install one for Osgosh, Wisc, but that was only one file to add to scenery so that was easy and seems to be working........I am told that some of the add-ons really hurt the fps so to beware.........again, any rules of thumb on that subject??
March 10, 200521 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Dick,I can't tell you which file it install of course, but in general installing both will not be adviced. The file ktus_158462.zip is more recent and it seems to contain more BGL files as well, so I guess that scenery is more detailed. What you need is the Rwy12 object libraries, as else the objects placed with Rwy12 will not show in your scenery. Most of these libraries can now be downloaded without having to download the Rwy12 tool as well, take a look at this file for example:http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=57629I don't know which objects the designer of the airport has used of course. For the jetways it works the same, you will have to download the library BGL. I think it is this file (there is also a Rwy12 version available):http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=21378You can get the NOVA gold textures from the NOVA site:http://www.fsnova.com/NovaDownload.htm Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
