April 1, 200521 yr I think I have discovered the meaning of the 7th word in the agn file :-) It appears to be a float value containing the total area of all of the vegetation rectangles present in the file (including overlaps).George
April 4, 200521 yr Alright, great job George. Area in what what? Sq. Kilometers? Meters? Acres? lolArt
April 4, 200521 yr Yes, it is definitely the area of all vegetation squares. If you get it wrong it can cause an FS crash and even cause desktop corruption in XP. The area is relative to the unit square and may be greater than one if the rectangles overlap.George
April 4, 200521 yr George, I've been leaving it blank and have never seen a crash so let's hope that option will suffice. I really don't want to have to calculate total area each time a user adds a scenery square. What a pain. Why in the world would FS need to know that anyway? Previous posters on here have said they thought it was related not only to vegetation but also to the number of houses. Do you ever see it change when you add a house?Art
April 4, 200521 yr >> Do you ever see it change when you add a house? No, but is is in the vegetation section.Perhaps it is a problem only in forested areas (value ~ 1.0), but one guy had a horrendous crash before I changed it and it is ok now.George
