June 18, 200520 yr Now possible to build taxiways and parking areas on a slope. The picture shows three distinct levels (runway, main terminal, general aviation) tied together with taxiways. Airport is Ketchikan, Alaska formerly all on one level.www.ptsim.com/forum Dick Boley @KLBEhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/119908.jpg regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
June 19, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Dick,That is cool :). So if you have different flattens under your airport, the taxiways do follow them? That is good to know. June 20, 200520 yr Stunning!Could someone share with us how this can be done?!?!Thanks!George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
June 21, 200520 yr The taxiways may not be AI capable. I have not tried that yet. They are simply tilted textures (polygons) placed upon tilted flattens (polygons). The true flat areas should be AI capable - runway, main terminal area, general aviation area. I made these using AFCAD in anticipation of AI. The best way to learn how to do this is the SBuilder forum site:http://www.ptsim.com/forum . Last 30-45 days of messages should provide a good perspective plus there is a very good help file with the FREE program. One note is that placing flatten polygons close to each other causes interaction so that texture placed on top of the polygons may not always be flat/tilted.Dick Boley @KLBE regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
