Repainting scenery tiles

Featured Replies

Hi Folk's.I have done some work with gauges and panels but never tried any scenery. One thing that bugs me is the fact that after getting some new mesh and textures the landscape consists of green blobby things. At altitudes above say 5000 feet it looks ok and the high ground textures are really good but when flying low and slow the ground looks like a green leopard. This is the mid height terrain before the patchwork fields and towns. Is it possible to load these textures into Paint Shop and have a go at repainting them? I've looked for the textures by browsing the Sim but can't locate them. Are they the R8 files? I don't know what these are although I've obviously seen them as part of downloads. This is for FS2002.Any thoughts appreciated.Regards...Kenny
