March 29, 200620 yr As many of you know, there is a new runway under construction at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. It is a 9000' runway that has been being built for the past few years. It even spans part of Interstate 285 and located on the south side of the airport. The runway will be open for aircraft traffic starting May 27th.I don't have any idea on the designation of the runway, let alone the ILS frequecies.Read all about it below from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.Could someone let the folks know at SimFlyers about this? Maybe they can put in a new patch.ihorizon---------------------Article Below------------------------------On-time arrival for fifth runwayDebut in late May will ease frustration of Atlanta travelersBy DAVE HIRSCHMANThe Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionPublished on: 03/29/06 Hip-deep in a pizza-sized hole, electrician Ken Hunter crimps some of the hundreds of miles of wiring that soon will illuminate the $1.28 billion fifth runway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport."These are the finishing touches," said Hunter, 42, of Douglasville, who has installed blue lights along the taxiway edges, white ones along the runway and red, amber and green ones in other places.
