Night lightng with MDLs

Gurus,Am not getting night lighting to work with 3d objects MDLs developed in GMAX. What are the steps to take here with the ambient lighting?ThanksShez

Check the _0.asm file. If you are using the FS2002 gamepack you should have a texture section that looks something like this: TEXTURE_LIST_BEGIN TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_AIRCRAFT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "FRONT.BMP" ; 0 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "FRONT_LM.BMP" ; 1 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_AIRCRAFT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "LEFT.BMP" ; 2 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "LEFT_LM.BMP" ; 3 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_AIRCRAFT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "REAR.BMP" ; 4 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "REAR_LM.BMP" ; 5 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_AIRCRAFT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "RIGHT.BMP" ; 6 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "RIGHT_LM.BMP" ; 7 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_AIRCRAFT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "TOP.BMP" ; 8 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 1.000000, "TOP_LM.BMP" ; 9 TEXTURE_LIST_ENDFor the FS2004 gamepack it would look like this: TEXTURE_LIST_BEGIN TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_BUILDING , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314835, "FRONT.BMP" ; 0 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314835, "FRONT_LM.BMP" ; 1 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_BUILDING , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "LEFT.BMP" ; 2 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "LEFT_LM.BMP" ; 3 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_BUILDING , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "REAR.BMP" ; 4 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "REAR_LM.BMP" ; 5 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_BUILDING , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314836, "RIGHT.BMP" ; 6 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314836, "RIGHT_LM.BMP" ; 7 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE_BUILDING , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "TOP.BMP" ; 8 TEXTURE_DEF TEXTURE2_NIGHT , <255,255,255,255>, 4.314834, "TOP_LM.BMP" ; 9 TEXTURE_LIST_ENDIf your _0.asm file looks ok, and it is only in the sim that things are not looking correct, double check the format of the bmp files in the texture folder and make sure they are sim compliant, 8-bit, dxt1, etc and they are not 24-bit.Lou
