AFCAD question

Thought I'd start in ths forum. I want to know if it is possible to convert an AFCAD for 2002 to 2004 FS9 and if so how? Thanks Rick

Hi Rick,It is some time ago that I used FS2002, but if I remember correctly there is no easy way to convert a FS2002 AFCAD to FS2004. The format is totally different as well, in FS2002 they are stored as TXT files that are merged by the tool into one specific BGL file, while in FS2004 each AFCAD is its own BGL file.

Hi Rick,I seem to remember that the way I did it was to have the FS2002 AFCAD file open in one window and the FS2004 AFCAD in a window next to it. Then, I would click on the properties of a FS2002 item (runway, taxiway, tec.) and copy and paste data into the FS2004 AFCAD equivalent. You don't need to do this with all features but those that are placement-critical worked well that way. But, yes, it's tedious.Cheers, Holger

Thanks folks. I didn't think there was an ez way. I have a atext document that list all the information on runways, taxi ways etc from 2002. Is ther a file (and where is it in FS9) for an airports information where I can put this information and wee if that works? rick
