April 25, 200818 yr I created a building in Gmax, have started texturing with photos. When I export, create the bgl and drop it into Fs9 it looks fabulous while I sit in my aircraft on the ground. Once I get some altitude above the building, I bank the plane so that the new building comes into view and suddenly - the sim stutters and all of my scenery textures go blurry beneath the autogen...Can anyone explain what's going on here? How can I fix this? I'm confused, in the Help file under the LOD section, if I link to a dummy object and reduce the polygons, am I not creating mip maps and if so won't I eventually disable these anyway in DXTBmp as someone suggested?Doug
April 25, 200818 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Doug,if you're using DXT1 format you need to have mipmaps or risk having sudden and persistent blurries when other DXT1 textures with mipmaps are in the viewshed. See http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?...t=holger+mipmapCheers, Holger
