Runways disappear?

Recommended Posts

Guest davejey

After constructing an airport using AFW;- viewing from the cockpit, spot and tower views and from the air, I can see runways, grassed and concrete polygon areas and taxiways, but when I look 'top down view' the runways disappear.I have kept the runways clear of everything, have flattend and excluded complete area of airport. Everthing is in their own default layers. I would appreciate any help, hints, ideas. Thanks, davejey

This is usually caused by altitude differences. Even small ones can cause things like runways (that have no 'thickness' to disappear. Are the runways at the same altitude as the airport reference point? You say you are using AFW - what version of FS are you working with?

But now you mention that, I have noticed that the alt varies around airport, so I will look into that, thanks.Cheers, Dave
