Hi,Besides I have here a hgt-file that 3DEM can read easily... I downloaded also a .tar.gz-file. However 3DEM asks to convert... and I do not know what and how to do that. Is it possible to use such tar.gz-files ? And what about using it with FSDEM ?Not very clear for me. Searching files of the Antartic area.Greetz. Jos

Hi Jose,if I remember correctly, in 3DEM there is necessary to uncompress the archive and rename the DEM file into the BIN file, then fill the values from HDR inside in the 3DEM input table, the same in FSDEM. I suppose that the GTopo30 is perhaps in the Big Endian configuration of bytes - Most Significant Byte first.Best regardsVlada Stoje
