May 10, 200224 yr Tom G,I saw your post below regarding the Time Zone Patch. I've been doing a lot of work with AI Traffic (great program BTW) adding/modifying flights at specific airports and I'm afraid that applying this patch might cause some problems. What do you think? Thanks!Matt Zagoren Matt Zagoren CPU: i5-750 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Ram: 8GB DDR3 HD: Hitachi 1 TB Video: Galaxy GTX570 OS: Win 7 64-Bit
May 10, 200224 yr I agree, to a point. If you have developed an AI traffic system based on the actual GMT vs local times of the default FS (as seen when going into the World/Time menu), then installing the patch may change this, especially in Europe (most of the patching is there, as I remember?).However, if you used real world data for your time zones, then the patch should bring FS closer to this reality.Keep in mind that the date of your AI system may make a big difference as well, since many countries start and end daylight savings time at different times (while I assume that FS changes the entire world all at once, and I don't know if it includes the areas that don't use DST (like Arizona)). I've never done a careful study of this, though.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 10, 200224 yr Tom,Thanks for responding. However, I'm not sure what you mean by "the date of your AI system." I've been using GMT exclusively. Furthermore I am not following real world schedules - I'm more interested in populating airports and having the AI aircraft fly at the correct Flight Levels (especially in the U.S). I just want to make sure that the update won't cause traffic to disappear because the arrival time and departure time have been changed. :)Thanks!Matt Zagoren Matt Zagoren CPU: i5-750 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Ram: 8GB DDR3 HD: Hitachi 1 TB Video: Galaxy GTX570 OS: Win 7 64-Bit
May 10, 200224 yr No, you won't have any problem, as long as you kept everything to GMT. They may arrive and/or depart an hour later/earlier, but they will all still work.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

May 11, 200224 yr What Time Zone Patch are you referring to? Can't seem to dig it up in former posts.
