May 16, 200224 yr HiA few weeks ago all of a sudden the course selection on the default 737 only goes up/down in 10s. I cannot set a course of 13, only 10 or 20. Can someone please tell me how to fix it? I know I saw a reference to this problem a while back but I cannot seem to find it now.I appreciate any help. :-zhelpTake careMike
May 16, 200224 yr I have posted here about this problem. I have had it twice now since installing FS2002 back in October. Once with the default 737 and the second time with a downloaded 727. Both times I had updated my version of FSUIPC. After going back to a previous version the problem went away. I honestly don't know off the top of my head which version I am using. I hope this helps you. Bob
May 16, 200224 yr Now that I think about it this started around the time I installed FSUPIC.dll from flightsim.com 'must have files' (what does it do anyway?) I'll try uninstall it.Take careMike
May 16, 200224 yr Hi Mike,Try the latest version of FSUIPC, that should correct the problem.Note that a lot of add-on programs as well as some aircraft require FSUIPC, so be careful before deleting. It is also great for calibrating joysticks, yokes and pedals properly (amongst other things).Andy (YSCB)
May 16, 200224 yr HiI seem to be comfused here. What is FSUIPC? I did download it from flightsim.com "must have files" section. It's version 2.80. All I got is a file FSUIPC.dll and FSUIPC.ini in the modules folder. How do I calibrate and do all those things? I have no idea what else to do. Oh Yeah..did I mention I am new at FS2002 :-shy ? Where do I get the latest version and what is the latest version?I appologise for bombarding you with questions like this. I am just a newbie trying to get FS to work properly. :-zhelpTake careMike
May 16, 200224 yr Hi Mike,Sorry to confuse you!In absolute summary, FSUIPC is a module that allows external programs to interact with FS.More info from the manual:"FSUIPC is effectively a successor to FS6IPC.dll. Both modules are designed to allow external (i.e. separate) programs to communicate with and perhaps control Microsoft Flight Simulator. It seems some folks are rather confused about what this means, so I should emphasise here that Flight Simulator Panels (including their Gauges), Aircraft, Scenery and other graphics, and pretty much everything else within Flight Simulator, are mostly NOT correctable or influenced in any way by FSUIPC. Apart from some assistance in providing weather data to adventures, making adjustments in the weather itself, and enabling better access to some engine variables for some Gauges, FSUIPC can only help external applications talk to FS, nothing more. Some FS applications that may seem to be separate applications are, in fact, not: FSNav, WidevieW, FSAssist and FSTraffic are examples of applications for FS that are
May 16, 200224 yr Thanks AndyI did not see a manual when I installed. I found it now and I will read it. Thanks for the clarification.Take careMike
May 17, 200224 yr Mike; Also get the latest version-2.85 so you will have all the latest refinements. A lot of programs need FSUIPC. It is a module that allows programs to link to FS2K2. FSMeteo is one. I believe FDC is another. It is a must have addon.RichardS
