    FSX & Splashscreens

The only file that makes a picture is the .BMP. It HAS TO BE a BMP. JPG's will not work. I don't know what the others are. Make sure the splash picture is spelled right. IE: dlgsplash.bmp with an L. I was adding some and spelled it digsplash with an I by thinking it was short for "digital splash". When that happens you don't get a screen image on startup. Easy mistake to make. Don't know what "dlg" is short for.RichardS

    instr hours in pilot records

Thanks to everyone. I learned something today. RichardS
  3. Hello:Does anyone know what criterior FSX uses to give time in the INSTR catagory in the pilot records? If you are flying an IFR flight plan isn't that flying by instruments? It seems that it gives very few hours in that catagory no matter what kind of flight it is. RichardS

    Parking spots?

Thanks:I decided to purchase AFX as it seems to have other things I can use. Plus I like Flight1 products and trust that it will work well for me.RichardS

    Parking spots?

Hi;Do you know where I might get ADE? Either version. I loved using AFCAD with FS9 and now with FSX I feel lost. I just want to know where on the airport I am choosing when I pick a parking spot. You know, maybe I want to be at one end of the airport at a certain terminal. It would be nice to be able to do that. RichardS
  9. I also recommend them. I have both aircraft w/SP2 and love them both. The only thing I wish he would do is make the Co-Pilot an option. I really don't feel that she is doing anything for my flight experience. Plus my FPS go down 5 to 10 FPS when she is in the view. As I pan around the cockpit I can watch them go down when she appears. If she was an option then those who want her can use one setup and those who don't can use another. That's what EagleSoft does in it's VC's. They have it so you can have the copilots gauges or not according to how powerful your computer is.RichardS

    Parking spots?

Hello:Does anyone know how to find out what the parking spot numbers are in FSX? The other day I flew into an airport and was told to park at A26. When I went to make a flight plan from that airport A26 was not listed as a parking spot in the menu of parking spots. Also when making a flight plan for any airport I don't have the slightest idea where I will end up when I do make a choice. RichardS
  11. Thanks Guys:I will check that out. Actually I am having the problem in FSX but nobody over there answered my query. I hope that page will point me in the right direction for FSX too.RichardS
  12. Hello:I know I have seen this somewhere, but a search hasn't helped me. I noticed recently that on approach(during replay) that my aircraft are trailing what looks like smoke straight down toward the ground and even when on the ground. This is not the same as the snow effect that FS has during the winter in the north. I don't remember when it started. Like I said above, I have seen this on the forums before but, I don't know which one. Either way, a search of the forums got me nothing.Does anyone remember what the fix is for this? Thanks RichardS

I noticed recently that on approach(during replay) that my aircraft are trailing what looks like smoke straight down toward the ground and even when on the ground. This is not the same as the snow effect that FS has during the winter in the north. I just started using FSX again recently after putting in more RAM so I don't remember when it started. Like I said above, I have seen this on the forums before but, I don't know if it was here or on the FS9 forum. Either way, a search of the forums got me nothing.Does anyone remember what the fix is for this? Thanks RichardS

    Panels for Acceleration Aircraft

That sure makes alot of sense doesn't it.It seems the longer they make FS the less documentation they give us. Pretty soon all we will get is a blank DVD and the words "go for it"RichardS
