Can you create AI "flights" for boats?

I would like to add the USCG cutters and some of the fast boats that are out there to do some water flights. It would be cool to have the fast boats come from Cuba or the Bahama's into the Miami area or the Keys.Assuming Flight level would have to be zero, just add the boats like a regular AC and plans would be the same until they run onto land :(Has anyone done this before?

Interesting idea, try it out and let us know what happens. You might also be able to set up a dummy AFCAD design out in the middle of the water to keep the boats from going onto land.Matt

Howdy:I'd be interested in the results of your experiments, too.Two things that come to my mind to be aware of:(1) According to the documentation for AI Traffic, Version 1.0, AI aircraft have to have a minimum cruise speed of 50 knots to work; I haven't tested whether that's true or not.(2) You're probably going to run into similar problems as one would with floatplanes (see help files for AFCAD), that is the boat will not be in the water but on top of it (that could potentially get solved by making new models that end at the waterline), and it might be tracing sparks (you might be able to deal with that through the contact points section of the aircraft.cfg file).Let us know what happened...Cheers, Holger
