Forkboy2 - Airport Browser

Featured Replies

Matt,You referenced Airport Browser in the following message - http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID13/1233.html#2 .I tried installing and using Airport Browser as detailed but was unable to get it to decompile and file the tables. If you got it to work, please let me know how you accomplished it.I have written to Michel A Mettling but have not received a response yet.

I am having the same problem. Looks like a useful program. Thought for sure I was doing something wrong. Will be watching for further word.

you have to edit the INI file to tell it where you have MSFS installed. Once you do that you just run it and it decompiles everything, then you exit the program and run it again.Matt

I did edit the INI file as directed, it decompiles, but nothing loads.

Hi all,Michel Mettling got back to me. It seems the decompiler uses a DOS interface which doesn't like names over eight characters. Michel recommend copying all the files to a new folder that didn't have the long names. However, I used the DOS notation and it worked. Try:&l;Full PATH to FS2002&r;Path=h:progra~1micros~1fs2002ScenedbAfdfilessceneryIf you remember in Michel default FSINF.INI, he had:&l;Full PATH to FS2002&r;Path=g:fs2002ScenedbAfdfilesscenerywhere the foldersubfolders meet the DOS requirements.I emailed Michel with my findings and recommended he include the above DOS configuration sample in any later updates.
