May 22, 200224 yr If you assign a P8 button to "GF-45 Select Next Function" how many functions on the GF-45 unit do you have to step thru to get back to the original starting point when pushing the buttom? From the GF func document I see seven total, but are there sub-groupings within "Inst Panel Select" and "Autopilot Select".To try and make my question clearer, say the GF-45 shows COM1 then do you press the P8 button ( assigned to select next ) and it changes to NAV1, next press = NAV2, next press = ADF, next press = Transponder, next press = Inst Panel ( Baro ), next press = Inst Panel ( gyro ), next press = Inst Panel ( Nav1 OBS ), next press = Inst Panel ( Nav2 OBS ), next press = Inst Panel ( ADF Heading ), next press = AP ( Nav1 course, next press = AP ( gyro heading ), next press = AP ( IAS ), next press = AP ( MACH ), next press = AP ( altitude ), next press = AP ( VS ), and finally next press gets you back to COM1 ?Is that how it works ? Roughly 17 or 18 functions to cycle thru when using a P8 assigned to "GF-45 select next" ?Thanks,Myles====================================GF-45 Unit n COM1 SelectGF-45 Unit n NAV1 SelectGF-45 Unit n NAV2 SelectGF-45 Unit n ADF SelectGF-45 Unit n Transponder SelectGF-45 Unit n Inst Panel SelectGF-45 Unit n Autopilot Select251. May 22, 200224 yr Author Hi Doyle!"Switching 166 modes will be possible via a P8 in the not too distant future... the trick is how to make sure you know WHAT mode the 166 is currently in. There are no alpha displays like on the GF-45 to show you the mode, so I had to do some stuff with the 7-segments that should get the job done.. but not as pretty as those 14-segments."Told you guys it would be trivial...... :)Look forward to the update! Thanks for great piece of hardware and software. The new config is a very nice piece of work.BobP :) Bob Prince
