How to fake tailhook usage for tail draggers?

Featured Replies

I can fake it for jets with superspoilers... I've got active carriers all around the world flying Dino's F-14B. But the taildragger-prophead AI pilots won't use the spoilers. They also don't appear to use brakes (at least until much too late). (needless to mention none of the AI will use a tailhook or be ArrCab compatible) Any ideas on how to stop these guys but-quick on landing? (half of them still taxi back after running off the end of the carrier, while the other half do some really strange things upon rolling off the end of their world *grin*).

Decrease the min_throttle_limit value to make it more negative (increases reverse thrust) and increase the toe_brakes_scale value (braking), both in the aircraft.cfg file.Hope this helps,Tom Gibson

If you haven't already done so, download this from the libraryrcbco-11.zip.This is package by Rob Barandregt and Doug Dawson containing Arrester Hook,Catapult,Sonic Boom and Meatball HUD for carrier landings.Very realistic effects.Works extremely well and easy to install- you have to install the gauges and modify the Panel .cfg and aircraft.cfg.Dave
