June 6, 200223 yr Or, more accuratly, a GPS question. I was given a simple navigation exercise to perfom for a virtual airline I fly for (www.pierglass.com) The first few "legs" require me to "Fly heading 234, for 8 miles" etc. At each TP, I'll need to describe something in the area. Is there a way, besides dead reckoning, to have the Fly!II GPS "MARK" a spot then tell you how far away from that spot you are?I guess if I was traveling between airports, I could just set the GPS for the airport, fly the proper direction and watch the numbers on the GPS tick off. But what if I'm not over an airport? Is there anyway to do this? Thanks for any help.Pieter
