Hi Tom,I was wondering if Leen can also re-paint the forward view of my next stearman repaint. And what software shall I use to open the forward view & the panels.thankschris

Hello Chris,You where wondering if.............I have to disappoint you.I won`t.Do not think I am an angry old man refusing to help.I am old but NOT angry.Making a repaint is relative easy as far as the outside-view is concerned. When I started my first repaint I choosed the Pa19.I never repainted anything before. This was a very big mistake for a starting repainter. The Pa19 is in fact the most complicated airplane in flightsim, to do.The outside is about 5% of the total job.Repainting an airliner is relativly easy because ther is only onetif to do.( just the outside-view )Looking out of the seat there are no wings to see. With the tiny birds it`s completely diferent. In the Pa19 there are 10 ( yes TEN )different in>out views. And I had to change knobs and handles in 6 to 12 positions. So I am not overdoing things by stating that, the repaint of planes like the Pa19,Skyhawk,Stearman,TBM,Citabria and so on ,are are the most complicated ones.So when somebody askes my to do a cockpit or wing-view, he in fact askes me to do at least 75 percent of the job.You can understand I cannot go into that. Why did I do the Stearman?I like repainting an I want to promote it.The best way to promote it is showing how in can be done.Doing it all for everybody does`nt help. That`s why. When you unpod the Stearman ,you`ll have an art folder.Go in this folder with Podview and find al the files you need. There the real repaintingprocess starts.I forgot to tell Podding can be a Hell.It is a challenge.PLEASE go for it.And if or when there are questions.I am not angry, just ask me.You`re welcome.Regards Leen de Jager / Repainter ( by accident?)<52>Leen=Pronounce as , Lane in Penny Lane

Hi Leen,Thanks for the info. Yup, I understand it's not easy to paint those little birds. It took me sometime to figure out how to align the textures and the best compromosie given the stock .tif's I guess the next step is for me to learn hpw to repaint the internals of the aircraft I appreciate your help. You have done a great job, sir, with the PA 19's.Happy Flying.chris salviejorpll
