Hate Yo say That i had a catastrophy.Burned up TWO (2) Hard Drives in ONE (1) week.They told me to buy another computer. It`s the best way to fix the problem . After Spending $500.00 to this one fixed, just did`nt work And finally kicked the bucket. Please save me one download of the P-51 And the ATR I will try to save up for the new computer as fast as i can . You know that i appreciate all the help that give on this forum. How in the world did you burn two DISCS???? I mean I've been fooling around with puters since I was one year old, now I'm 19 and I love to test stuff.. I screwed up once where I formated the wrong disc (the old one with the data instead of the new one... OOOOPPPSSS)cheers and good luck

Sorry to hear about your computer Jeff, I used to build my own computers so I do know the "fun" you can have with them. I had one faulty motherboard that kept blowing the cd roms. I went through 3 of them before I could pinpoint the cause. I hope your sorted soon, I know I couldnt live without my PC now.All The BestSteve

Can you give us any further info on the drives. What brand were they. And when you said they told you to buy another computer who was they? Was this a local shop or someone else. Your info may help someone else. Myself owning a small computer sale and service shop I would like to know the info on the hard drives. Thanks. Sorry you had problems. They being the one saying buying a new Puter : is Office Depot, In Fort Worth , Texas The hard drives are from Maxtor 30 Gb. The reason why the Hd Are blowing could be from cold starts, Or Flashing the Bios, The Chip on the back of the hard drives are melting the I C chips on the board. And BTW Steve;> I do have a $199.00 video card that is cable or anntena Television capable. Runs good after altering the fly! II render ini file, that i did save on disk. My first Hard Disk , I did send the first H D back to Maxtor , In Dallas for Warranty. WOW - I have been selling 100% Maxstor drives for about 2 years. I have only had a couple drives give me problems. I would take a look at that power supply. Make sure it is ok and it's not being overloaded..too many devices installed. Anyway, good luck, hope you get back in the left seat soon.

Sounds like you have a bad voltage regulator on your power supply. Some motherboards have voltage readings within the bios, otherwise maybe you have access to a meter or someone who has one so you can check? A power supply is a fairly inexpensive part matched with a $100 disk drive, may be a better solution than replacement of the entire PC. George

Well I`AM BAACK. Just To let you all know;Bought a new motherboard and Finally got the Hard Drive back from Waranty! Installed Motherboard in 1 1/2 Hours , Took me Two minutes to hook up hard drive. Everything auto detected on the first boot. I have been installing everything for five hours now and have a long way to go.
