AI traffic problems

Hello,First, I want to say that I know that solutions to this problem have been posted, but none of them seem to work for me.I have made some AI traffic for the St Petersburg, Russia (ULLI) airport using the standard programs AFCAD, Traffic tools, etc. The problem is that the most widely used aircraft, TU-154b2 by Dmitry Kolesnik, FS2002 Visual model by Roman Skorykh, (made in GMAX) takes off OK, but on touchdown simply disappears. I know this can be caused by absence of parking spaces, but this is not the case as there are at least 10 free ones capable of accomodating the aircraft. In addition, aircraft of other types (such as POSKY A330) land without any problems.Is is possible, that even though the aircraft is made in GMAX, it is not fully compatible with AI Traffic? If so, are there any solutions? It would be a real shame that I can not use this aircraft, as it is the most widely used plane, and without it, my project would be ruined.Best RegardsSergei Carr

Try replacing the AIR file with one from a default aircraft, like the 737. Hi Tom,Thanks for your reply. I tried as you suggested, but unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. Could there be a problem in the MDL file of the aircraft that is causing this to happen?Best RegardsSergei

The Tu-154 is disappearing on touchdown because it is landing too hard and MSFS registers it as a crash. Simply go to the contact points in the aircraft.cfg section and increase the crash detection magnitude field to a value that can absorb the touchdown. Other than that, the Tu-154s work fine as AI aircraft straight out of the box.

Hi,Thanks for your reply. I am glad to say that it works! The only other thing is that I copied the entire contact points section from the default 737's aircraft.cfg into Tu-154's aircraft.cfg. However, in your reply, you said that I could "increase the crash detection magnitude field". Could you indicate where this is in the aircraft.cfg? I couldn't find it in the contact points section, the only place that crash detection is mentioned is the force feedback section. The fifth field in the contact points is for landing gear crash detection. The first three contact point lines are the landing gear data. Change the "1581.102" and the two "1870.800" fields to something like 6000.You do not want to use the 737 contact points, in all likelihood, the Tu154 will sit on the ground funny if you use those. Put the original contact points back in and just change the three values.
