does flight planner work?

Featured Replies

Last night I decided to use fly2 flight planner and noticed that it does not load the flight plan into the gps or radar screen. It takes me to the departure airport, however. I've always used VolNav or Fsbuild with no trouble. Yes, I did "generate" the flight plan and the map shows departure and destination. I am patched up and very happy not to use it for my flight planning. I am, however, curious to know if anyone else is having similar problems with it. tony

Silly question : Did you add a minimum of one intermediate waypoint (VOR, NDB ...) to the flight path, between departure and destination airports ?It's required. Then just click "Start flight plan".I'm using the flight planner since the beginning without trouble.

I have even used flight planner without adding anything but the departure and arrival airports clicked generate and 2 seconds later all was sorted.I hope you get this going, I use it all the time.Regards, Steve.http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.JPGUnited Kingdom Sceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Tony,Have you clicked the flightplan (FPL) button on the GPS screen after it has loaded up?:-wave

I don't know, guys. I did add an intermediate point, I did everything that needs to be done....except for, when in FLY2, I looked at the radar screen for the path before starting the plane and clicking on FP on the gps . I never have to do that with the other flight planners , and the fact that when the gps comes on and shows another airport instead of the airport that the flight planner takes me to....I 'll try again and report.tony
