  1. Hi All Fly enthusiasts, Wishing you all a happy New Year. Ian
  2. Donald, Because of a HD crash I recently had to re-install Fly! II and used my ROTW DVDs. Previously I had had the problem you described and by removing that file the problem seems to have resolved. 3 days ago was invited for a short flight on a Bell 206 Long Ranger which was wonderful and has resulted in me trying to master the Fly! II 407 Flyfisher
  3. Ken, Thanks and a merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and all Fly11ers. It is a beautiful Xmas morning here in NZ and as the season is running a couple of weeks late the Pohutukawas (the NZ Xmas tree) are in full bloom and look wonderful. Ian
  4. Hi Donald, I suggest you post your question on the ROTW website. I also have had crashes but can't help you. Hope you get the problem sorted out. if you do please post the reply here as some of us Fly II fans still check in from time to time. regards, Flyfisher
  5. Hi, Does anyone know whether ORBX have plans to release a patch for the North Island of NZ scenery as there are quite a few errors that would benefit from being corrected.
  6. Hi John, Having tried for days to sort the msstdfmt.dll problem out I have found the explanation above easier to follow than the pinned instructions at the top of the forum. Following them I finally got RC4 to work for both my FS9 and FSX on my Win 7 laptop. Perhaps the instructions could be pinned also regards, Ian
  7. Hi, Can someone explain why when I adjust the VOR dial with the mouse in the default 172 it moves to smaller degrees when + is used (ie anticlockwise) and to larger degrees when - is used (ie clockwise)? :p0504: Thanks, Ian
  8. Happy New Year to all, Have just purchased the NI to add to the SI. Have been able to fly from Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty to Gisborne in the default Robinson following SH2 through the Waioeka Gorge. The scenery is very good and pretty accurate en-route. In and around Gisborne there are several errors the biggest of which is a cliff which doesn't exist close to the airport S 38° 40.31 E 178 0.08. The coastline from the airport to the port is very flat and not raised above the hightide mark to the extent depicted in the scenery. Makorori on the coast road north of Gisborne has numerous houses and holiday homes which are not there and just over the hill in Tatapouri is a campground with cabins that aren't shown. Ian
  9. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all Fly enthusiasts Ian
  10. ORBX for NZ Scenery and REX for providing free update to the latest Essentials to those who have already purchased it

  12. Roger,Good to hear from you again. I recently got a new laptop with Win 7 and bought the Simvol DVDs so I could install Fly2 on the laptop along with all the extras that come on the DVDs.Unfortunately I have had several problems , some of which are now sorted out but I still get ctd's particularly on loading up.Once I get going things generally run well with great frame rates. It still is a great sim despite the niggles.Best wishes,Ian

  14. Ken,Finally did a complete re-install and still having the occasional CTD after the Splash Screen loads. Will continue to try and sort it out.Regards,Ian

  16. Hi Guys,After installing Fly2 with the Simvol discs I get a ctd and in the gtfo txt get the following message. The ctd seems to be random sometimes I am able to fly but mostly not.Msg: Fatal error caused by .DLL "modules\pc\GLASS_COCKPIT _1-v1.4.dll" in DLLKill routine.File: Dllman.cpp line 343Time: Fri Apr 29 20:42:20 2011errno = 2 (No such file or directory) Anyone has any ideas? When I try to open the dll file I get a message that states the file is corrupt. :( Thanks,Ian

  19. I have RC4 and am using FS2004 with Win 7. After saving my flights they appear as RC4 files and not RCD files and do not load.I can continue the flight but without RC4.What is the reason for the files being saved as RC4 files and how can I avoid this happening? Thanks.
  20. Ken,Thanks to both you and the creators,Ian
  21. This file seems to be missing from the library.Does anyone have it and so could re-upload it.Iberia B747-300 by Jean Sabatier, Roberto Vigetti, Cory Burke and Roger MazengarbThxIan
  22. Chris,By searching through Simvol and AVSIM fora I think the error may relate to the aircraft not being installed and Squawkbox 3.2 picking this up.I have installed the B737 of Giorgio Gnesda but am unable to find the Saab 340 which was ? uploaded by Tony C.Ian
  23. Hi All,Just installed Fly2 on new laptop using Simvol DVDs.Able to fly around Nice but unable to fly to San Francisco.Able to start from LAX but en-route get message 'Unable to load aircraft model: s 340 SHAD.acm and also B737 Shad.acm.File AMODEL CPP Line 226Anybody have any ideas how to get around this problem? Thanks in advance.Ian
  24. Just had problems installing the CD on my system but eventually did so thanks to help from Jeff of Flight 1 Software by opening the CD and then opening the GE2006 folder and manually running the setup in that folder. I have FS9 in a separate folder (not in Program Files) as recommended by others. Hope this may be help to others. :(
  25. Many thanks
