PMDG DC-6 Release info
Then why does their site say this: The ultimate simulation of the a Magnificent Douglas Classic, the DC-6 Cloudmaster is now available in Laminar Research's X-Plane 10 on Windows! And there is nothing stopping anyone from placing it in their cart and attempting checkout. Clear as mud if you ask me, I bet I wasn't the only one to think it was released after Frooglesim's video. PMDG DC-6 Release info
I just tried to buy the DC-6, but how much does it really cost??? It looks like they stuck with the 12 million price all through the transaction; it was over my card's limit so no sale!!!! Ridiculous... Donald

Looking for Multiplayer buds
I enjoy X plane but most of my friends online use FSX or P3D so I don't fly X-plane as much. I am looking to find more X plane users who like multi player; especially in General Aviation aircraft and helis. We could either use default multiplayer or the plug-in the .org uses for their fly-ins. I also have Smart Copilot for shared cockpit in compatible planes. When I am flying the teamspeak I am most often at is Digital Theme park. The address is ts3.digitalthemepark.com Looking forward to getting more use out of X-Plane!!! Donald

Frame rate issues
Just to clarify; it seems if your friend upgrades his hardware what will get him the most bang for the buck is a new video card, The Nvidia card with the best price/performance tradeoff is the 970 IMHO. Donald

Showing off the amazing visuals in X-Plane 10 (with the Bell 407)
A big help to populating X-plane is a freeware scenery package that covers 23000 airports to a level above the FSX default. It really improves X plane and if you have custom scenery for an airport it will be loaded in higher priority so there is no conflict. I forget how to spell it... drewzeskie or something but I bought their New York scenery and airport package for X plane because I heard of a lot of OOMs in FSX and p3d.. I have all three plus DCS and Rise of Flight. My next purchase will be an additional hard drive :>) All of these sims have their pluses and minuses.. But it seems DCS has the most realistic heli dynamics, especially ground effect. I would fly X-plane a lot more if I could find more multiplayer buddies that use it... I am usually on TS3 when I fly and the server I am usually at most of the time is Digital ThemePark which is the Teamspeak address of ts3.digitalthemepark.com I also have Smart Copilot for shared cockpit in the Dreamfoil 407 and the Nils BK-117. I also enjoy fixed wings when the mood hits, usually GA.

Alabeo PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released
Ditto on the flight dynamics... with a caveat. I very much enjoy flying on two engines. It handles well in flight and through the flare to landing. Notwithstanding the different types this flies as well as their Titan. However... there is no drag with a windmilling prop. Which is just as well since there is no way to feather a failed or shut down engine's prop. As long as you are not expecting real world single engine performance, this is a decent hand flyer and the AP is pretty intuitive... if you have flown the A2A P-51 Civilian version... One simple thing I wish they would fix is to put in the clickspot to bring up the GTN 750 2D popup. Donald

RealAir Legacy V2 Released
I loaded up my weight and GF weight and baggage to head down to warmer weather. Enough fuel to bring me to gross weight. Trying to make Florida before the fuel or oxygen run out. KABE- KSPG with dual GTN 750s... have to do a WAAS approach when I get there. 9.4 hours on the Hobbs... be over 11 when I land. Donald

RealAir Legacy V2 Released
OK so what you are saying is that something like FL 25 would only be used to avoid weather or something? Or is FL 25 better for economy and 17000 better for speed?

RealAir Legacy V2 Released
Thank you for the reply Robert. Maybe I wasn't clear about the O2 tanks. You already have an option for a ten hour tank. I was hoping for something between the two and ten, like maybe a three or four or five hour tank. Though maybe you think if a ten galllon tank is used it would replace the passenger and be only used for ferry flights and tanks over two hours pose the same problem. Donald

Official request from Laminar on X-Plane radio tuning procedure
I am between both FSX and X-plane and Click and drag as implemented by Real;Air is a very viable option. Donald

RealAir Legacy V2 Released
The one issue is that there is very little info about power settings for the turbocharged engine. So far I am guessing and climbing at 32 HG and 2500 RPM... At 25000 I was firewalled on the throttle but had to play with RPM a lot... still not satisfied that I found the sweet spot. RealAir really seems to have modeled the interactions between airspeed and fuel flow when it comes to RPM. Donald I also wish there was an option of medium large and then very large O2 tanks. Two hours is a little on the small side for a KABE KMIA run but ten hours would be serious overkill. Donald

About Piper Aztec on Steam
I think I will hold out for the Alebeo Aztec for boxed with the F1 750 GTN integration. Donald
