May 23, 200323 yr I am posting here to get Mr. Salter's attention cause I'm getting an error message I think is related to scengen. I installed scengen per instructions and it worked on the first flight from KMYF to KDVT... saw trees, no houses though. Then I flew from KDVT to KLAS, it worked again but pulling off the runway at KLAS I got the message in the attached jpg file. This morning I built a flight from KLAS to KMOD and upon trying to load this adventure file get the same message. When I move all the scengen files to the scengen folder (out of the modules and root folders so they should be inactive) I can load the adventure but the adventure loads very fast and there is no local scenery or airport scenery for KLAS (the map shows me right smack in the middle of KLAS!). This, so far is the only trouble I have had using scengen. Is this a texture file or scenery item that is missing? I did a full install and have patched and used add-ons per your wonderful instructions (good advice too :) )I have another entry on this forum with my fly.ini posted so possibly the error is from something I entered in that file.Let me know if ya got time. Many thanks,Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
May 23, 200323 yr Author I've been able to fix the KLAS loading problem. First tried making a new file with FSBuild... same problem. Then after loading the adventure and sitting in the nothingness I tried teleporting to KLAS (where I already was)... still no scenery. Then I teleported to KRNO... scenery and airport, good, then teleported back to KLAS... scenery and airport, very good. Started up and flew with no problems. If I put scengen back into the proper folders to use I'm back to the same screen posted above. I'm thinking that it is either a texture or scenery object that I don't have or a corrupted default file.Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
