Twin Otter Cockpit mod beta version uploaded!

Featured Replies

I have just uploaded the Twin Otter cockpit mod for you to enjoy. As said earlier, the panel still needs some fixes, none of which should interfere with the pure pleasure of flying this wonderful aircraft. I hope someone does a repaint of the aircraft for Harvey Air. I want to thank many of you here for the help and the comraderie.tony

Hi Tony,I just want to thank you for the great Otter panel. I just yesterday got the chance to fly it. It is great! I love it when I can install something by the directions in the Readme file and it works first time! Great job, Tony! Thanks again,Earl

You're welcome. It's a beta,and it will be finished soon.tony

Quick question. How accurate is this flight model? I took her up for a spin and man did she like to fly. It was a VERY smooth take off, I started my rotate at about 90 knots and up up and away we went. I think I will log a few Havyair runs with this bird!!! Thanks again for your great work

I just got back from a vacation in Costa Rica. I found myself in a Twin Otter, sitting right behind the copilot. I was amazed at the short takeoff and landing capbility of this baby. We had the plane full(14 or so), one notch of flaps and at 80kts we were airborne. The plane cruises a little faster than a c172, and landing it on a gravel strip the pilot gave it one notch of flaps and came in at 80kts or so. This FLY2 plane, in my opinion, is an underscovered gem for us. The flight model is superb, the ground handling just exciting--this is why I found myself working on a cockpit. I will be addind new sounds and a few more bells and whistles because it beats the b200 for small, turbo charter flying. tony

Thanks again for your work. I did some searching on the net about it. Seems to be a popular jump plane. I haven't found any operating procedures so if anyone has a few I would love to get a copy. I really like to fly in Fly2 as close to real numbers as possible. Look forward to the sound enhancements!!!Thanks again.
