May 27, 200224 yr How come the larger, more towering clouds have such a nasty effect on FPS in FS? When flying through 'ordinary', more everyday clouds this hardly effect performance but when flying through 'big' clouds is slows FS right down. Of course ideally I'd avoid these clouds like real world but without a wx radar and the way in which new weather suddenly appears with FS Meteo makes this nearly impossible.Anyone any ideas? Surely as far as FS is concerned, a cloud is just a cloud?!Tom
May 27, 200224 yr Commercial Member Hi, To Improve the fps for clouds, you can use the clouds density by reducing the slider to the left, default is 75% I think , you can try to lower this to 50 %. When the clouds is higher in feet the fps will drop a little also. The clouds density controle the clouds quantity.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
May 27, 200224 yr HiThanks for that! Will give it a go, shame I have to sacrifice something to get better FPS, always the same though with FS. BTW thanks for producing top class, very realistic clouds - I eagerly await your new sets.Tom
