Wooow!!!Thanks for the hint, Steve and compliments to you, Dan!Fascinating models - if only I had finished my Landsat7 program, then I could think of .. :-)If I find a BO105 or BK117 on this page at this late summer, I'll try to get into this work as I have all technical infos at hand.RegardsGeorg HeliFLYer EDDW

Hi Steve, the models are very detailed. I have a serious personal problem: like me to recreate to the perfection all the details forgetting the limit imposed by FLY!The models are composed from more than 50000 polygons. The only model composed by few polygons is the R22.If you want, I send you the model in *.max.Dan

Dan,this sounds most promising - but before you waste one second for creating anything one MAIN question has to be asked:The only 3D tool I have (and can afford) is the free TrueSpace 3.2.***Is there the possibility to import your model(s) into TrueSpace 3.2 and do the further work needed with this program???*** I am really very naive regarding aircraft modelling but willing to learn when my actual project is finished. Georg,I work with 3D Studio max. This program exports in format 3DS and DXF (more other formats). The models that you have seen on the site have been realized with Cinema 4D and imported in 3DS.Some models I have found them on internet: I have modified them adding details and other. If I am not wrong, TRUESPACE reads the format COB. With the program 3D Exploration I can convert the format 3DS in COB. ;-)I believe that there are no problems.Dan

Hi Dan,Caligari Object *.COB can be imported by Truespace 3.2 - ok, I'll have a look at this program the next months, just playing around a little from time to time when I get bored from coding. Thanks Georg HeliFLYer EDDW

Hi Dan!No problem mate, you dont need to send any files.Sadly a few of my personal interests have changed and I cant see any work being done in the way of Aircraft Repaints and models under my name. The reason for this is being sent bad emails, from individual/individuals who are hiding their identity through a proxy server. Though this is under investigation with my ISP, its really put me off.Im sorry about this guys, but enough is enough!Im not pointing the finger to ANYONE in the Fly2 community here but someone has it in for me. I had to pull my website off the net as this was attacked too. Though I dont think this was the same person. While Im on this I keep getting strange emails from someone getting my email address from the F2FDesign website. Are you getting these guys??? They personally asked me to make a Helicopter for them :-lol Could you remove it for me guys, as they want my details of my bank to donate money :-eek (Am I really that foolish?) Cheers.Becareful guys, there are some strange people out their!!!All the best to you my friend, Dan, I hope to use your scenery when its released.Steve[divalign=center]http://www.wrexhamspace.org/sig.jpg][/divNASA ATX Graduatehttp://www.wrexhamspace.org

Steve, don't be discouraged. At one time I was getting emails from a person in Germany concerning my airport scenery for Fly. I guess he didn't think I should be doing anything for Fly. I had to change my email address and then the messages stopped. I don't post my email address on this board or any others for that reason.Let's face it, there are a few unhappy people in this world and we have to learn to live with them. Some search engines have a way of getting your default email address from Outlook Express. So I have a false email address as my default. That seems to have stopped a bunch of unwanted mail.Don't give up just because there are a few idiots roaming the internet.Good luck with your ISP, sometimes they can help, but they get so many complaints they just don't have time to track all of them down.

Thanks for your kind and thoughtful words Wayne :-) The Good news is, the said person has been caught. All I know is, his ISP has pulled the plug. No more info has been given to me.Anyway, I made a few items today, and Im just going to plod on and see what happens. A good tip with the Email by the way ;-) All the best, Steve.[divalign=center]http://www.wrexhamspace.org/sig.jpg][/divNASA ATX Graduatehttp://www.wrexhamspace.org

Hi Dan,that is really good news.Jan already gave you a link to a wonderful site. I compared the dimensions with those of the Eurocopter handbook and they are ok for a BO105 CBS. Your model looks like a CBS with the very small third window - the shorter CB version (cabin 4,30 m against 4,55 for the CBS) has only 2 windows at the side.I already copied several pages out of "some" docs and look for the CD where I have sampled outside views, details and inside shots (instruments). The screenshot shows that you already did some "inside" work, I will look for dimensions of the panel, etc. Please contact me over AVSIM and I will mail you the docs. Please tell me if you need other things, though the helo I am flying in as a crew member (not a pilot) is a BK117 I'll try to get if for you if possible. Thanks a lot again, all next steps via email, that is the better way. Some pics I have at hand without searching as a "preview":http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112459.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112460.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112461.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112462.jpgRegardsGeorg HeliFLYer EDDWPlease be patient if you have to wait for an answer. From time to time I have to stay at work for more than 24 h (and often really work 18 to 20 h of that time), then fall asleep like dead. Just to explain that it is NOT lacking interest, as you might understand!

Hi Jan,thank you for your hint, that is really a wonderful site - I bookmarked it at once! And now as spring is coming you Norwegian people seem to leave your caverns and go out to hunt bears - and post at AVSIM!Ok, ok - with that my chance has gone to ask you some questions if I go into the Bo105 project at summer time. Or not?All the best to you, Jan. I hope all is ok with you and your family.Best regardsGeorg

GeorgI'm still in my cavern.Spring is a bit late up here. But I'm one of those friendly one's,so the bears have nothing to fear ;)A BO105 project would be nice, yes. But right now the F2FD team is realy busy with the other helo projects. And they are coming along nicely, belive me.Hope you are still signed up as a beta tester. We'll have to come back to the 105 later. If you can provide photos, info and sounds.I have always wanted to fly one of those.Take care down in Bremen.JanBTW,if you have not seen this video of the BO105,here is a link. It's in German,so you should have no problems;)Unbelivable what it can do.http://tvtotal.prosieben.de/components/vid...band.html?mode=http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannerjh.jpg

Hi Jan,some time ago we had a BO105 as a backup helo for some days and I had the chance do have some flights with it. I really enjoyed it - ok, to be honest, the BK117 is the much better solution for serving patients. But feeling how agile and responsible this smaller helo is, that undisturbed view outside .. Actually my internet connection is rather slow. Next month I am on broadband, then I'll have a look into that BO105 video!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Back to FLY: if I understand right, you/you and F2FD are planning to create a BO105 after your actual work is finished? :-)That would be a really professional solution, much better than that I thought of, that would have been a naive trial to do something because there's nobody other outside who does the job.Of course, I offer all my help regarding docs, photos, etc. There are still some BOs flying in Germany although most of them are changed against EC135 - as the police BO105 CBS above, I shot these photos some time before they got out of duty. And regarding Betatest - we already did it one time, if you were satisfied with my work, you know my eMail!CheersGeorg

Hi Georg. To clear things up,there has not been any discussion in the F2Fd team regarding the BO105.That was just my personal thoughts. We work very freely in the group. It has to be so,because of the enormous work to create an aircraft for FlyII.If there isn't a personal interest or relationship to the aircraft,it would be hard to get finished. The first problem is the 3D model. It's a freeware model from the net, without animations,And not prepared for Fly.Also the number of polygons needs to be lowered. Not sure if it can be used,or if any 3D artist want to convert it.If we get a good model,I will be interestedin working on a BO105.Or the BK117 for that matter. That is the status right now.Give me a hint when you get a broadband. You might get some helos ;)Take care.Jan http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannerjh.jpg

Thank you Jan,for your explanations which made clear for me how to difficult it might be to start with such a complex model as a beginner - when it is not clear whether even your F2FD profs could use it. So we have to wait until further decisions are made :-hmmm Your helo-offer (and enclosed screenshot of the S61N?) is great - they promised me to switch me on broadband at the beginning of May, I'll contact you immediately! :-)CheersGeorg

Hi all,for the model I believe there are no problems. It is not completely ended, there is still some job to do. And as all the other models, I place it available of whom wants to convert it for FLY!Dan
