November 24, 200718 yr Hi Fly fans,I'm still lurking around but FS9/FSX development keeps me busy. I still pop in to check these forums and Fly the Seneca and TBM700. I recently got a full PFC CirrusII console, radio stack and pedals for review and find that no one ever did a module to allow for its use in Fly, Fly2k or FlyII. Don't even know if it's possible but if someone with knowlege looked over the dll for FS9/FSX I'm sure they could come up with some ideas. If I keep this thing I'll be in heaven flying MS or X-Plane but FlyII is out of commission with this hardware. November 26, 200718 yr Hi Zane,The short answer, is no, there is no DLL for PFC hardware for Fly! II.I had spent quite a bit of time working on DLLs for both Fly! and Fly! II and PFC hardware. But without getting into all the gory details, in the end, there were limitations in the SDK that TRI were not able to address, such that PFC were not happy with the final product and were not willing to release it.FWIW, I do still have my Cirrus II console and radio stack, and when Fly! Legacy eventually see the light of day, it will support PFC hardware...that doesn't help you now though.Chris WallaceOttawa, Canada
November 27, 200718 yr Author Hi Chris,Thanks for the response. I am curious how far along you were able to get. Frankly if I could just get the yoke, pedals, brakes and throttles to work, I'd be happy. I can mouse the radios and other switches. As it stands FlyII will sit on my computer for the time being. November 27, 200718 yr It's been l-o-o-o-n-g time since I looked at the code or used my PFC system, but certainly all of that functionality was completely done. The limitations I'm talking about were things like the Fly! II flight director behaviour not being completely accurate when used with the autopilot controls, stuff like that.Chris WallaceOttawa, Canada
