September 28, 200223 yr I explain : being French, I use the european version of FlyII. After booting, I choosed the french language on the configuration screen. And if I went in the menu to configure the keys, FlyII was out. Finally, I choosed the english language and all was well. The menu was accessible, and I saw that the keys were ill attributed. For example, the up, down, right and left arrows of the extended keyboard were (certainly due to a bug) seen by the configuration screen as keypad keys which were reserved for others tasks. And there was many other cases due to french keyboard singularities..So I had no chance to be "heard" by the planes when I keyed !Now, all is right. May this lesson be useful to other Flyers who have exotic keyboards.
September 28, 200223 yr You mean you don't use a yoke or stick? :-hmmmAlbert Van Thournout :-wave (A Mac user from Belgium)http://users.skynet.be/avt/QS G4/DP800/1 GB RAMGeForce3 Video CardApple Cinema Display 22" LCDCH Flight Sim Yoke USBCH Pro Pedals USBCH Pro Throttle (w/Griffin iMate)Gravis Gamepad (w/Griffin iMate)
September 29, 200223 yr For the same reasons, my yoke was not initially recognized by FlyII under the french version. With the english version, I was able to configure also the buttons and commands of the Yoke. When I rebooted in french version, all worked perfectly.A yoke is great but the keyboard commands are also essentials.
