Fled problems

Featured Replies

Sorry to be a pain (!) but, following the reinstall of my FU3 with FU2 scenery, I'm not getting anywhere with FLED :-(.Regardless of which region I select, when FLED opens, I get a blank (black) screen where the image should be. I've flown both areas so I know that the scenery and objects look OK however my 'objects' menu item is blanked out. I've tried reinstalling FU3 (3 times GRRRR :-( ) but it's made no difference. Maybe I've missed something, maybe I'm going mad, maybe it only works on the fourth installation attempt...Any ideas? If not I'll have to reinstall without the Sanfran scenery which is a pain :-(Jon Point*************************([email protected])*************************

Jon,Have you installed the patch ?Whatever you do, don't remove the San Francisco scenery area. This is BETTER than the Seattle area, particularly with my upgrades :-lolChris Low,ENGLAND.

Hi Jon,I think I run to this problem once. It has something to do with the fact that you have to open new package to start editing. Before that the screen stays black. So open new package and see if that helps any. I think it was only if you don't have the "IWorkHere" activated in config file you need to habe a package open to make any changes.Regards,Jokke

You're right Jokke. I had forgotten what it was like to start up FLED without the "IWorkHere" command activated in flt3.cfg. This was necessary to make modifications to the existing airports, and I'm sure that you're well aware of just how many airports I modified !Chris Low,ENGLAND.

Thanks Guys!I'll try that again. I know I had the 'I work here' bit 'coz I used my standard flt.cfg file (with Lauries updates) but I didn't try to open/new packages, I just saw the blank screen and went back to exploring the Sanfran region with my DC3 :-)Jon Point*************************([email protected])*************************
