Help with some video issues and FU3, please?

Featured Replies

I recently built a computer for a friend, a dual boot system with Windows 98SE for games. The OS is fully patched, and the video card is a Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT. Using either the CD drivers, or the latest download, Flight Unlimited 3 will NOT run in 3D accelerated mode. It locks up, with an interesting geometric pattern outside a normal looking cockpit, and a huge lag time on keyboard response.Any suggestions out there?Dan

Dan,Have you applied the FU3 patch ?Chris Low,ENGLAND.

Dan,Chris is right. All Nvida based cards... and I am assuming that your is an Nvida based card... will lockup as you go into 3D mode until you put in the FU3 patch. It is available in the AVSIM library. Be sure to get the right one for your version of FU3. There are 3 I believe... US... UK... and European... could be wrong on that... been a while since I installed it.

Ahhh, sheesh, I thought of that, I really thought I had applied the patch. Time to check....Thanks guys, I'll get back to you here when I know more!Dan
