You have won second prize in a beauty contest

Featured Replies

I don't know whether many of you frequent the screenshots forum (and my past experience tells me that it gets so busy there that whatever you post gets lost in the crowd pretty fast anyhow!) so I thought I'd include a pointer here for the FU3 faithful :) It's a piccy that just got me second place in a screenshot contest! I was happy to see that others agreed FU3 still has what it takes in the looks department :)[a href=http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=147&topic_id=120310&mesg_id=120310&page=]You have won second prize in a beauty contest[/a]

Whoo hoo, congratulations :-jumpyIt is rather gratifying to see FU3's stunning visuals in a sea of M$F$.Maybe we should undertake a program to post a shot each per day, just to tip the scales a bit! I've got hundreds by now ;):-wave******************* Jonathan Point *******************

A little too much haze for my tastes but a great shot! Thanks for the looksee. What contest was this?

Congrats Shadowcat - that is amazing scenery!(But I'm jealous. **I** never won any prizes in any beauty contests.)Hmp.RobD.

Well Rob,I've seen your photo...I must admit that it is nice (the screenshot, not your photo), although I think I have better ones in my collection ( :-hah )...One of my GeeBee shots made it into a 3D site's gallery so I can't complain. Funny though, after looking at some recent screenshots, I was shocked to see poeple giving credit for EDITING! Huh? What's the purpose of a 'screenshot' if it's not 'as seen'? These guys are all fakers. Sometimes I adjust brightness and contrast (to account for my monitor's gamma settings) but to add exhaust wakes and clouds afterwards? NO WAY! I can assure everyone that my screenshots are NOT edited. Sheesh :-rollI wonder if the winner's shot was edited - Shadowcat's looks straight from the FU3 folder ;):-wave******************* Jonathan Point *******************

> What contest was this?My 'local' simming forum (at www.gpforums.co.nz ) decided to run a contest to celebrate its third birthday. You can [a href=http://www.gpforums.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&threadid=207112]see the winners here[/a].Thank you for the lovely glider, Jon! The impression I was after with that screen really required one, and although in the end I went with a view that doesn't show its close-up beauty, it was a nice one to be able to use :)

Cool! These are my favourites of the L-13 (mostly 'coz they show the morning sun on the aluminium...)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/65638.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/65639.jpgI'm glad that my aircraft provide a visual treat as well as the joy of flying them ;)Plus you can do silly things with them - like fall out :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/65640.gif:-wave******************* Jonathan Point *******************

Jon,Any screenshot contest should be based on UNEDITED material. Anything else is a waste of time.Chris Low.
