May 27, 200620 yr A new aircraft in the library! This is an Air Cadet Vigilant constructed by Glidernut and myself.Hopefully (knowing my problems with posting pictures) here is a pic of it. The included notes give some information on performance and locations of squadrons using the aircraft.Enjoy!Ches and Glidernuthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/150004.jpg
May 29, 200620 yr Congrats both Ches and glidernut! I've enjoyed playing with the pre-release version and now I'll upgrade to this. Just one question, does it fit in the glidernut hangar? That's the problem with gliders, wings are too big. First thing I did with my glider company (before it was shut down) was to saw the wings down to a more convenient size. I can see that you have come to the same conclusion (in glidernut's picture).Anyway, you guys are amazing, and much thanks for this new development. I know how long it took and have some idea of the effort involved in perfecting new planes from Jon's constant battles with the GB.Cheers,Robert.
June 1, 200620 yr I've been too busy to check this one out properly but I want you to know that it's appreciated -- very nice piece of work. Regarding visuals, I've never seen a 3D cockpit view this good in FU3. Evidently, we don't have to contend with the mediocre 3D view/virtual cockpit quality of the stock aircraft. As far as I can tell it flies as a Stemme. But then, it takes a more experienced glider pilot to really tell. It's very good at nosing over after a landing but the readme does warn us to be gentle on the brakes. Thanks for this beautiful aircraft :-)Hans Petter
June 11, 200619 yr Just finished a glide from Abmbri LSPM to Lodrino LSML down the Leventina - many thanks for this greath plane and the new features. http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/images/Vigi01.jpgand this is over Geneva, not FU3 Swiss region - it's from a real flight http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/images/GenevaReal.jpg :-wave agtim
