I don't think I would like to try this manouvre in a C172. How did this guy get away with it?

Bruce,He didn't from what I read! You will notice a puff of dust coming off No1 engine, just as he passes the first piano keys. THAT puff of dust is the engine hitting pavement and cost $US1.4 million.
