Jim,No, like this!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185601.jpgI only need to do 3 of these - one for each wing. The left side is mirrored from the right, but has it's own texture i.e. copy to left side then switch the texture to the left bitmap. All textures are therefore created on the right, top and front - everything else is mirrored. Saves a lot of time, you only have to build and texture half the plane :-lol Regards,Jon Point

Jim,Got it all cut apart now. Still got lots of stray polygons in the wings and fuse. That's good, 'coz I want to sort the wheels and cockpit.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185626.jpgI'll send you the texture bases when I get through it :-waveRegards,Jon Point

OK, Looking forward to it. In case my email address has drifted:jbuff61173atatatmsn.com or fastmail.fmJimB

I've been working on a top wing texture. The "bottom" that you suggest above would require a fella' to think in "mirror" image when he's texturing for the bottom wouldn't he?Here's a pre-lim.. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185645.jpg

Jim,Indeed it does however there is an easy way - just flip the image whilst editing and flip it back afterwards ;)BTW, it's down to 668 polygons now - or about 1300 polygons complete with wires but no pilot. The "tub" out of #64 is a mess - it will require a lot of work to get sorted but it will be nice to have a useful F4 view.Textures so far, subject to imminent change:right fuseleft fusecowltop right wingtop left wingmidddle right wingmiddle left wingbottom right wingbottom left wingrudder rightrudder lefttailplane righttailplane leftwheelsstruts & wiresundercarriageenginecockpit 1 (inc pilot)cockpit 2 (inc guns)That's 19. There are 10 spare texture locations to fit extras in for the F4 view ;)Regards,Jon Point

Jim,Mostly rebuilt now, almost ready for texturing (I'm playing with an engine texture before I finalise the engine model).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185679.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185680.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185681.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/185683.jpgI took the guns & wires off and I have to put the upper struts back and the pilot as well - total so far = 1307 polygons. I expect about 1700-1800 with everything. Ignore the gap between the upper wings - I pushed it apart to see something ;)Regards,Jon Point

She's a beaute Jon, :( Man I better pickup the pace on these textures.JimB
