X-Plane 9 -- very impressed...

Recommended Posts

Speedbird, I would like to suggest that before you present a comparison between FSX and X-Plane, you try using X-Plane to fly either the 747 or the 777 between two major cities (at least 600 NM apart) and landing. You could try VOR to VOR , high altitude jetways, or using the FMS. I tried it, following the manual now available on x-plane.com exactly. Results were unsatisfactory (understatement). If you are successful, using only the information included with X-Plane, I would much appreciate a detailed description of how you did it. Unless I can find evidence that I still do not understand X-plane well enough to use it, I have pretty much concluded that "X-Plane does not meet my expectations". I believe that is the suggested wording by the moderators for a non-flaming, constructive input. Regards, GD Luck, Thrakete :+
