A couple of questions more about RC v. 3

Featured Replies

Noticed something about one having to change the squawk-code when you fly from coast to coast. Is this only for US then? Will the centers outside US also be named in the new version? MS have it in their discount-version and i have seen people mentioning that ProFlight has it too?Just out of curiosity - there's no ATC chatter over Spain and i can't see any special downloads for Spain. Is it something only available on the CD or have i overseen something?CheersLars

yes v3 centers are namedthere is no spanish chatter available for download. i can't remember whether it is on the cd or not

Thank's JD, great! :-) It must be on the CD then.. Well, it's not often i'm in spain, soi live with it.But the changing of the squawk code during flight - is that in US only?CheersLars

Lars,I don't recall getting a new squawk code over Europe yet, but it is possible. Some other features:V3 also now allows you to set the VFR code and speed limit altitude as well as transition levels. Not only are the Centers (US) and Control Sectors (world) named, but WAYPOINTS are now named. It makes it soooo much easier to request new waypoints and see where you're heading toward.Plus the "Save" function in RC saves EVERYTHING exactly as is, FS situation AND RC situation. So you will be able to save, quit, come back later, and pick up where you left off. This has been a god-send (a JD-send? :-lol) for testing! It's also really cool to practice different landing techniques with RC controlling every time perfectly when you start over from wherever you saved.(additional)Also, you can have recorded chatter or V3's generated chatter in any sector. Way cool.

Hahaha - :-lol - yes it's a JD-send!! It really sounds cool, so i can't wait for you to release v.3!!! :-)I live with the squawk-code thing - i was just curious.Oh - i allowed myself to post the new things at Fligthsim Veterans Club (yes - i'm the Lars with that site). Maybe we can convert a few more to use Radar Contact!! :-)CheersLarsP.S. If you want to put something up over there about Radar Contact, just send it to me and i make Frank post it in the right manner!

LMAO - yeah, it sounds funny now i read what i wrote, but i guess everyone understand what i mean! :-)

Great idea! Ver 3 will knock your socks off!! I've resisted posting anything about the new ver 3, but not having to compile an adventure is a blessing. :-) Sooooo many more options like declaring an Emergency or Changing your Destination on the fly! Rap my knuckles, you guys, if I'm blabbing too much! he he Suffice to say the level of realism in RC is suberb.Best, Rob (in Hot Redding, CA 106 But, I did manage to find the cool side of a rock!! he hehttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d226c72129f5ded.jpg

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS

Yes - you are absolutely right, it's really superb. I really don't understand that some can favor the AI planes for the experience of this - well - it's their problem! :-)CheersLars
