RC 22 AND ARRIVAL RUNWAY SELECTION

Featured Replies

Hi All,Can someone explain to me why RC most often does not select the arrival runway compatible with wind direction. It frequently happens to me that I am given vectors to a runway which results in my landing downwind. I know I can request a different runway (RC doesn't always respond by the way), but surely it is not standard practice to land downwind? I don't understand how RC interprets wind speed and direction when an adventure is compiled. What wind speed is needed for RC to select the appropriate runway? I also find that ATIS information, including the landing and departing runway is apparently ignored by the controller and I am given quite different QNH and landing runway info and instructions. What am I doing wrong?Quentin MooreIQMFAJS

rc chooses a runway that is ils equipped above all else. if there are multiple ils runways, the best one given the wind, is chosen. if there is no ils, the best runway given the wind is chosenyou may not recieve the correct arrival airport weather report, unless you are running fsmeteo. if you are just using fs200x weather, it doesn't know where you are going, and can only report the weather where you're plane is at

Thanks JD. Looking forward to version 3.QuentinIQMFAJS
