October 4, 200223 yr I'm thinking about purchasing RC and would like to ask a couple of questions about RC's adventure capabilities. What is the closest distance from the destination airport that can be specified before RC will 'ignore' the enroute cruise portion of the flight and begin issuing approach vectors? With Proflight 2000 I can configure the front end compiler with a destination buffer, allowing very close destination waypoints before receiving vectors in order to fly tight STAR's and facilitate terrain avoidance. I would rather be able to do this instead of using the 'Terrain Notam' feature of RC, instead using real world charts and altitudes. Also, can all individual waypoints in RC be configured with altitude constraints? Thank you.
October 4, 200223 yr Commercial Member v2.2 at 40 miles from the airport, you contact approach, you are then vectored.v3.0 at 40 miles you contact approach, but can then request a specific approach for that airport, and fly the points in your planneither 2.2, 3.0 have altitude constraints on waypoints. not all planners allow that.
