October 16, 200223 yr One of the best things about v2 was the fact that you could download ATC chatter and files based on location, ie UK, Caribbean, Australia, Greece, etc. that really gave a "you are there" feeling to it. Much much better than the same accent (U.S.) over and over. In fact, in my overseas flying, one of the hardest things to deal with (other than ICAO rules) are the accents of the controllers. Will v3 have this feature? I couldn't find it in the feature listings. Not really worried about the size of files, would just love to hear different accents based on where I'm flying.I saw that there was the possibility of an upgrade price from v2. Do y'all keep ID's somehow of those who've purchased v2 or would I need to send some sort of key? Since FS2K2 came, with AI traffic, I shelved v2 (shame on me I know) and then ended up deleting it when I switched over to win XP, and like a dummy didn't keep any sort of receipt. Just curious, sounds like v3 will defenitley be worth the purchase. Thanks,Lobaeux
October 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member you can load as much chatter into version 3 as you want. in previous versions i had to make the code "aware" there was new chatter to play. not in version 3. if you put the chatter in the right folder, and name it correctly (this is all documented), then you can have elbonia chattertrust me, i know everyone who has bought radar contact, and i know what verision they started with. October 16, 200223 yr It sounds as if you are asking two questions: 1) Will it be possible to add in localized chatter, and 2) will the controllers have local accents?JD answered 1.There are no specific localized area controllers in V3. All controllers handle you all over the world in many different accents (as that's who's on the team). Like V2, you can always make your own controller sets.
