Wont Regonize new airport

Featured Replies

Howdy all, Flying into a newly created airport RC ATC does not regonize the runways just says land runway 0. I used AFCAD by Swordly and creadted all the right files, I have no problem with FS 2002 ATC finding it and using it as the main runway. So it is there in the files. As a matter of fact, RC ATC calls out all the Comm Freq. that I creatd just fine and uses the ICAO code as well, just doesn't see any runways? Am I supposed to reconfigure RC in any way to see the runway or any body have any great Ideas. I am running RC 2.2 ThanksDave

rc only knows about the runways that are in the export file from your planner.you will need to regenenerate the databases in your flight planner, to "suck in" the new airport and runway information.you can add airports and runways in version 3

Thanks for the quick reply, How do I reginerate, I see the place in the tool bar but it is not allowing me acess. Thanks for the great program and I am waiting patiently for this great Christmas gift called version 3.Dave

Which flight planner are you using?

Sorry, I just realized that this is not your baby, I am using Nav. 3 for FS2002. I have so many question out there in forums, I am starting to get them all mixed up and which questions I am asking.Thnx,David

You need to recompile your Nav3 scenery database. Got to Ted's site http://nav.consequential.org/ There is an excellent tutorial how how to do it if you need a refresher course.

Rick, Thanks there she is, now I have flown a couple of times into my new airport and atc is working hard to get me down and the short memory lapse is now forgotten.ThanksDavid
