i don't have that configuration, but at least 5 of my beta testers are running rcv3 via widefs. i'm sure they'll pop in here, any moment!

Hi John,I'll try it out for you later. However since RC does run considerably quicker on the second machine I would strongly recommend it is installed and run on the client if you have the chance. All the best,John

thanks for the infoI thought perhaps you had to install RCv3 on the machine with FS2002 for the folder structure, wav files and FS2002 flight plans? If not and it can be run on the client PC even better!John

Hi John,All the RC files can be on the client. You just have to make sure that RC has full read/write access to whichever folder contains your flight plans on the main machine. And showtext works perfectly as well :-)All the best,John

John,As John says, RC works just fine on another networked system. John wrote the program really well for that. It's all thanks to Pete (who we shall begin calling "John" for clarity ;-)) for FSUIPC and WideServer/Client.RCV3 does not put the wavs into FS. The wavs are in a directory in the RCv3 folder. Also, you can just copy the FS200x exported plans to your networked system, or leave them where you want them. Whichever works best for you.I have RCv3, FS_Meteo, and an aircraft data window I made all on the networked system. RC runs faster. FS runs faster. Now I can also have a headset with just the RC voices while FS runs over the stereo system. It's very real this way.Although I haven't used ShowText, it should work just fine as well on the second system. I beiieve it's been tested.
