V3 and AI interaction

Featured Replies

i read somewhere that V3 will NOT support the ability to hear other AI traffic talkin to ATC, is this correct?for example in the current FS2002 ATC you can hear ATC chatting to other aircraft will this happen in V3?thx

if you tune comm 2 to the frequency ms atc is using, you can hear all of comm exchanges. comm 1 is your rc controller

also, the manual shows you how to add the comm 2 radio to any aircraft if it doesn't already have it active. :-)Rob

Is there a chance that both RC and FSATC maybe using the same frequency? Reason I ask is because I think both programs try to use real world frequencies as much as possible. What will happen in such a case?Stamatis

you will hear ms atc and rc at the same time. i think rc will always interrupt the ms atc, though. i don't know, i've turned on ms atc.

"i think rc will always interrupt the ms atc"Good, this is the way I'd like it to work."i don't know, i've turned on ms atc." Huh? You mean you haven't turned on ms atc?Stamatis

Hi Stamatis,RC always uses com 1 so the trick is to enable com 2 on the radio panel and then the Ms atc uses the frequency tuned on that radio. This way you have to tune RC and Msatc seperately so you don't have to listen to the MS atc if you don't want to.Personally I usually do.I think Larry has a step by step guide in the manual on all this. All the best,John

This sounds even better! I didn't know you can force FS2K2 ATC to use COM2.Stamatis

Hi Stamatis,Neither did I until Larry told me :-)On the default panels just press the comm2 button on the radio stack and that does it.All the best,John
