Does RCV3 interact with AI or does FS2K2 still look after it? If its FS2K2 can we still hear it, and would it be on the same freq. as the RCV3 coms. Also does RCV3 have the capability to hold short, do go arounds, and all the other stuff to AI aircraft? Or, do we have to be on the lookout for it and be dodging it all the time?EDIT-Sorry about that. I see the answer to the coms question on another thread. I am still wondering about the control question though.Next question - I have not got my RCV2.2 loaded at this time on my computer. Will I need to have it installed to use the new RCV3 when I download it on the 11/24/02 date?http://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg

Dan,As has been answered many times in this forum >> And in the manual <<, RC handles you, and FSATC handles AI. If an AI is within 10 or so miles and +/- 1000/2000 feet, you'll be notified and so will he if he's close enough to your path. But RC will not vector you around it.Also as >> And in the manual...errr...I think << RC does not necessarily use the same frequencies as the FSATC. FSATC can be monitored on comm 2, whilst you are on comm 1 with the RC controller. >> THAT's in the manual <> And it says in the manual <<, RC is a completely different system. It's a stand-alone program and does not compile adventures. There's something else...darn...what is it?....Ah! I just remembered. The manual has been released. Have a good read and see everything RCv3 has to offer. It's a good read, trust me. It'll also help get you ready for when you have the V3 CD in hand, installed, and ready to fly.

Hi Dan,Just to mention that you can actually interact with the MS ground and tower controllers and get taxi and hold short, takeoff, landing, missed approach instructions from them while running RC3.I think Larry wrote a step by step guide on how to do this in our contribtion to the Christmas bestsellers list. All the best,John

OK,OK, I can take a hint. RTFM as my boss used to always scream at me. :-lol I'm sorry, I'm a guy. I thought manuels were designed for after screw-up use. x(I did download it. Thats a start is it not.http://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg

That reminds me Rick. When I was in grade school the last day before vacation, in my music class, the teacher gave us a 12-page test.Of course everyone whined and moaned. When class ended, the teacher said: "Everyone can stop now. Turn to the last page."We did, and on the last page it said: "If you had read the entire test before starting, like I've told you to do every time, all you needed to do was sign your name, turn it in, and leave for the summer."As you can tell, I remember that really well. And yet, I STILL don't read things! :-lol

OK, I did it. I printed the entire 188 pages of the great epic. Wow that takes time. Anyways, I have broken down and started to read it. I drive city bus for a living and get a few 15 and 20 minute breaks during my shift. Ya know, theres a lot of cool stuff in that there book. very well done guys. I am really getting excited about the new Radar Contact.http://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg

>hell, my wife had to read that manual 3 times, and mark all >over the corrections. and she hates radar contact and flight >simulator ;-) I really pity the poor girl.>>anniversary is coming up, better buy her a nice vacuum >cleaner or something :-lol Oh geez-uz John, that is not even safe to joke about. Two things a guy must never never do - Rifle the wifes purse for money, and by any sort of appliance, tool, or household article for Christmas or birthday presents. These items are procured for the suck up stage after you were caught doing something you should not have. Oh yes, always compliment such gifts with flowers. :-lolhttp://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg
