How do I adjust adjust # of simultaneous wav files?

Featured Replies

I recently bought a SB Live card and guess what, the software with the card and the downloadable LiveDrvPack software from the Creative site does not give you a device control in AudioHQ! When tech support was queried, after two separate holds, I was told that the latest OS programs (such as XP) automatically set the simultaneous waves to maximum. I had a feeling that I was being snowed to get rid of the call. Have you seen or heard of this? Robert

Robert,Are you saying that the latest Live!Wire doesn't have "Simultaneous wav Playback" setting in AudioHQ?I posted a response from Creative Here][/b regarding Multi-channel play. See if that jives with what you were told.

>Are you saying that the latest Live!Wire doesn't have >"Simultaneous wav Playback" setting in AudioHQ? I also have a SB Live! and the latest XP drivers from Creative, and there is no "Simultaneous wav Playback" setting in AudioHQ either ...Dirk

Scott,After reading all posts including the Creative response, everything seems to point towards a plug & play type of simultaneous wave capability for XP and the latest sblive card. There is no device control, slider, or any reference to simultaneous waves in my Creative software. I wish creative would state specifically that their latest sblive card with software supports simultaneous waves automatically and that there is no control over how many. It has become a mute point for me anyway, since the priority fix has greatly improved the slow wave problem. I intend to network another computer and put RC on it for perhaps even more improvement.Robert
